八犬堂は2010年に創設いたしました。
2012年に現役美大生を含めた若手作家約200名が参加する「見参」を立ち上げ、以来若手作家と共に歩んでおります。
2016年、池尻大橋にあるものづくり学校内にギャラリーと事務所を設け、その後2023年に京橋に移転します。
2018年には大丸松坂屋百貨店と共催でヤングアーティスト公募展「いい芽ふくら芽」を開始、全国展開いたします。
2023年には40歳以上のアーティスト対象のセカンドチャンス公募展「いい芽ふくら芽RS」を開始します。
2024年12月、松坂屋名古屋店本館8階が全面をアートフロアとし「ART HUB NAGOYA」として生まれ変わり、八犬堂常設スペースが設けられます。
年間130に及ぶ展示を全国で開催、関わった作家は1000人を超え、オリジナリティ溢れる展示を開催しています。

Hakkendou was founded in 2010.
In 2012, we launched “Kenzan,” an exhibition bringing together approximately 200 young artists, including current art school students, and have been working alongside them ever since.
In 2016, we opened a gallery and office within the Monozukuri School in Ikejiri-Ohashi, and will then relocate to Kyobashi in 2023.
In 2018, we launched “Iime Fukurame,” an open exhibition for young artists, in collaboration with Daimaru Matsuzakaya Department Store, and will expand nationwide.
In 2023, we will launch “Iime Fukurame RS,” a second-chance open exhibition for artists aged 40 and over.
In December 2024, the 8th floor of the Matsuzakaya Nagoya Main Building will be transformed into an art floor and reborn as “ART HUB NAGOYA,” housing a permanent Hakkendou space.
We host approximately 130 exhibitions nationwide each year, featuring over 1,000 artists, and present highly original exhibitions.
