REIJINSHA GALLERY

Nihonbashi in Tokyo, where many of Japan’s leading long-established shops and galleries are still located, was the busiest shopping area in the peaceful Edo period. It can be said to be the place where all the culture of modern Japan, which is related to our daily lives, has been fostered and condensed.
REIJINSHA GALLERY, which was born in January 2012 in Miyuki-dori, Ginza 6-chome, eventually became fascinated by the Nihonbashi and moved to Odenmacho in June 2018, the area where the publisher Shigsaburo Tsutaya’s Koshodo, which was active in the late Edo period, was once located. Then, in July 2022, moved to its current location, along Edo-dori in Honmachi in Nihonbashi.
Since its opening in Ginza, the gallery has advocated not being at the mercy of current trends, regardless of the category of works, and only deals with artists who have an enduring individuality and charm at their core.
